Elementary School Students
Does the Learner:
• Become frustrated easily and experience difficulty managing his/her/their emotions?
• Have difficulty sitting down to begin tasks?
• Appear to lack perseverance when it comes to completing assignments?
These behaviors are among the signs that a learner could experience self-regulated learning challenges. The elementary school years are formative, and covers a period of rapid physical, socioemotional, cognitive, and motor development in children. By developing core self-regulatory learning skills, students can build the foundation of necessary strategies as they transition to middle school and beyond.
